Highlights from ICDL Conference

We returned yesterday from Washington, DC., where we gave a plenary session at the ICDL conference called Critical Core: Role-Playing Games and the Future of Social-Skills Enrichment.

We were very excited to present about Critical Core and our work using Dungeons and Dragons in therapeutic social skills groups.  We shared the theory behind our model, and how it fills a much-needed gap in services for teens, and how it fits so nicely within the DIR Floortime approach.

Attendees feedback was very positive and we spoke about doing some additional presenting and training in locations around the world, which we’re very excited to explore!

We also had the great privilege to meet up with Jack Berkenstock of The Bodhana Group and Mike Fields, as they presented about “Gaming with Intention.”

We’re now preparing for our presentation at the Pierce County Counselor’s Association this coming Friday, followed by PAX Unplugged soon after that!  Whew!
