At PAX South this year, we presented a panel we’ve hosted at other conventions called Therapeutic Game Master Round Table. Each time we host this panel we aim to highlight some of the leading minds in applied RPGs, with a special focus on someone local or semi-local to the area. This year we had the extra benefit of having Jared and Elizabeth Kilmer join the panel, who have been doing amazing work using RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons in therapeutic services with veterans. Enjoy!
Panel Description:
The therapeutic use of role-playing games has all but hit the mainstream. Join us for a discussion between the top minds in the field of therapeutic role-playing about what makes their approaches similar, what defines them, and how you can make your own game better for you and your players.
Moderator:
Adam Davis [Founder, Game to Grow]
Panelists:
Adam Johns [Founder, Game to Grow]
Raffael Boccamazzo [Clinical Director, Take This]
Jared Kilmer [Psychologist, VA]
Elizabeth Kilmer [Graduate Student, University of North Texas]
