Magic (The Gathering) and Mindfulness

Magic: The Gathering is a well-known collectible trading card game that often involves complex trees of dynamically interacting decisions. The game provides a fantastic opportunity for reflection and personal growth because the players who are most successful are those that utilize both tactical understanding and flexible thinking. Add in “drafting”, and the experience is especially ripe for personal development. This 10-week group harnesses the inherent potential in Magic: The Gathering, guiding participants to practice mindfulness skills when confronted with difficult choices and bad luck, and helping players develop the habits that will lead to long-term success in many areas of life. We’ll have a focus on sportsmanship and a growth mindset that will continue long after the last card is played!
